- Some of my Handiwork -

Web Sites

California National Guard Plans, Operations, & Security Website - This is one of the many responsibilities I have at my new job. Pretty nice site if I say so myself.  We're constantly creating new web based tools for this site to include extranet portal capabilities.  Sorry, but you won't be able to access that portion of our web tools without a California National Guard network account.

California National Guard Administration Website - This sight is not really completely finished as I was offered a better paying job.  Although I have a new job, it is only down the hall and I have promised them that I will continue to work on it when time permits.

Fort Myer Army Career and Alumni Program - This was the last sight I did before leaving the Army.  The graphics were done using Paint Shop Pro and JASC Animation Shop.  The site uses tables, HTML and JavaScript.

Fort Myer Relocation Program - Another Site I developed and manage.  The graphics were again done using the same programs mentioned above.  This site incorporates frames, Dynamic HTML (DHTML), HTML, Java and JavaScript.  Web forms are used for ease of information requests for personnel relocating to the Fort Myer, VA area.

Headquarters Command, Fort Myer, VA - The graphics were created using CorelDraw, PowerPoint, and Paint Shop Pro.  The website incorporates transitions and tables.  A little bit of JavaScript was also used on this website.

Headquarters Command Retention Downloads - This is actually a page on the above site, but I just wanted to show-off the posters, clip-art, wallpaper and screensavers available for download here.

Fort Myer Casualty Affairs - This website is not my creation - I provided technical assistance and created the animated flag you find here using Microsoft Gif Animator, a digital camera and Paint Shop Pro.

Angie Mota (Chief Ophthalmic Surgical Laser Technician) - A website I made for my wife so she could have a place to keep her resume and have links to the sites (dealing with ophthalmology/vision correction) she likes to keep handy.

These are two websites I hope to have up and running in the near future.  A good friend I met in the Guard has pushed me into starting my own business and play websites.

MojoMultimedia.com - This will eventually become my business site.

MojosWorld.net - This will be my play site.

These are my aforementioned friends sites.

GraphicsBuff.com - His business site.

GrphxBuf.com - His play site.

Briefings and Computer Based Training

Fiber optics Computer Based Training (zipped ppt file - 168kb)  - This is a computer based training course I created while stationed on Okinawa, Japan.  It was created completely in PowerPoint.  Rather than scanning the graphics, all graphics in this course were hand-drawn in order to make the course digitally smaller and more portable (the whole thing fit on a single floppy disk - but check it out, you'll be surprised how in depth it is.)  This trained technicians in fiber optic theory, line testing, and maintenance and saved several organizations several thousands of dollars in training funds.

Mobile Maintenance Team Mission Brief (zipped ppt file - 69kb) - While I was a Communications Systems Operations Chief on Okinawa, Japan I often had to give Mission Briefs which were briefings/presentations on our operational status, accomplishments and future plans.  This is a copy of the last briefing I gave.

Army Physical Fitness Training - Special Fitnes Program (zipped ppt file - 6.24Mb) [apft-sfp.zip] - This class covers just what the title says.  It's rather large because I was using everything I could think of to keep the interest of the personnel.  I incorporated graphics, sound and videos which I created and edited and tried to add a little humor to a boring class.

Retention Data File Box Class (zipped ppt file - 3Mb) [1315Class.zip] - Another large file.  This class incorporates sound, graphics and scanned forms.

Video

Mojo's Baby (zipped avi video - 3.1Mb) [Mojo'sBaby.zip] - Remember the dancing baby from TV and the internet a few years back.  Well there once was an internet competition to see who could best get the baby's dancing and the music synced together.  I used PhotoMorph and PhotoMorph Movies to edit both the music and the video.

Possible Necessary Programs

WinZip - If you don't have a program to unzip the zipped files I have here then you can get one here.  I am not saying that this is the only or best one out there, but it's the one I use and so I know how to use it if you have questions.

PowerPoint Viewer - If you don't have PowerPoint then you can go here to download the  viewer in order to be able to view the ppt files above.

Adobe Acrobat Reader - If you don't have a word processor that can open Rich Text Format (rtf) files then you can view and print my resume in Adobe's Portable Document Format (pdf) by using the Acrobat Reader available here.

Microsoft Word Viewer - You can download this program if you don't have any type of program compatible with the other formats of the resume which I have provided.  This will allow you to view and print the other files.
